Jennifer Lim-Judd, Piano Instructor (U.S.A./Taiwan)

Dr. Jennifer Lim-Judd holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Conservatory of Music of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she studied with Curator/Professor Joanne Baker. She is an accomplished solo recitalist and chamber musician, who has made repeated soloist appearances with the St. Louis Brass Band, the Jefferson City Symphony Orchestra, the Clayton Symphony Orchestra, the University City Symphony Orchestra, the University of Missouri-Kansas City Orchestra, and the ECC Wind Ensemble.
In 1997, Dr. Lim-Judd and Annette Burkhart, a faculty member of Washington University, formed a piano duo. Since then, they have performed in various concert series and university campuses throughout the Midwest. In March 2007, Dr. Lim-Judd, Dr. Sarah Edgerton and Dr. Brandon Christensen performed a series of concerts in China, including recitals at Shanghai Normal University and Hunan Normal University.
Dr. Lim-Judd is Associate Professor of Music at East Central College. She also serves as Coordinator of the Music Department. Many of her piano students have won top awards in state and national competitions. She is also in frequent demand across the U.S.A. as a clinician and adjudicator. Recently, Dr. Lim-Judd was awarded the Permanent Professional Certificate by the Music Teachers National Association. In 2012, Dr. Judd received the Governor’s Excellence in Teaching Award. The following year she received Emerson’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Several of her articles were published in the journal Keyboard Companion.
